Randynamic LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Haiker mobile application. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

We Don't Store Your Credentials

Haiker does not save your Hacker News username or password. When you choose to log in, your credentials are sent through our API server to the official Hacker News API for authentication. We never store your credentials on our servers.

No Account Required

You do not need to create an account to use Haiker. The app works fully without any login. You only need to log in if you want to interact with your Hacker News account (e.g., upvote, comment).

Hacker News Data

Haiker reads publicly available data from the official Hacker News API. We do not store, cache, or retain any Hacker News stories, comments, or user data on our servers.

Data We Process

  • Translation requests: When you use the auto-translation feature, story or comment text is sent to our translation service and immediately discarded after the translation is returned.
  • No analytics: We do not collect usage analytics, tracking data, or device identifiers.
  • No third-party sharing: We do not share any data with third parties.

Children's Privacy

Our app does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
